Assistant Accountant

You will be managing multiple companies while supporting the finance team with day-to-day operations. The applicate will be expected to take ownership of the processes and flow of information received, in the deadline given for each of the entities they are responsible for. This is a challenging role therefore we are looking for an individual that has tangible experience in a similar field. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Processing supplier invoices and bank transactions within given time frames
  • Preparing management accounts including posting journals, calculating accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing of quarterly VAT returns reconciled to the general ledger.
  • Preparing of detailed ledger schedules and assisting with the Year End audit procedures.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP standards
  • Assisting with any ad hoc client information requests.
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs

Skills Required:

  • Previous years of accounting experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of Xero
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Methodical and detailed approach
  • Work independently and challenge discrepancies
  • Strong Communication & Organisation skills
  • Real Estate experiences beneficial.


  • AAT qualified
  • Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE


Rates of pay and salary ranges are dependent upon experience and qualifications.
